COVID-19 Office Announcements

Happy Spring from Children's Dental Clinic of Green Bay! We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

Currently our office is limiting patient care to those with dental emergencies. If you are experiencing an extreme dental emergency, please call the office at (920)336-4002 and you will be directed to Dr. Miller’s cell phone. We are hoping to be back to normal office hours by the end of May. We will be starting to reschedule patients the week of April 20th.

Since many of us are spending more time at home, it is a great opportunity to perfect your oral health routine! Dr. Miller recommends brushing twice a day for 2-3 minutes. Unsure if you are brushing your teeth for the right amount of time? Try listening to a song while you brush! Dr. Miller also encourages flossing once a day, and it does not have to be done at the same time as a brushing.

Diet is an important factor to oral health as well. Remember to drink lots of water and avoid sugary liquids like soda or sports drinks. Also be sure to eat healthy foods and snacks like fruits, vegetables, nuts, and cheese. If you do indulge in some sweet treats remember to brush, or at least rinse your mouth with water. I bet we all have some holiday candy in the house.

Now that Dr. Miller is not in the office, she is finding time to do some spring cleaning and landscape projects. When her space is organized efficiently, she feels more in control. Dr. Miller is also staying physically active by taking walks and online workouts from her gym. She also found some free yoga and relaxation sites on her tv and phone that have been helping when the weather doesn’t cooperate or feeling anxious.

During this strange and unprecedented time of social distancing, Dr. Miller is reminded of all the activities she can no longer partake in but tries to focus on the things she can be grateful for like a home, clothes, food and family. You start to realize what you really need versus what you merely want. “Things” tend to cause unwanted stress or extra effort. For Dr. Miller staying in contact with her family and friends and checking in on each other is number one. We need each other and together we are stronger in numbers!

Something giving Dr. Miller courage right now is her neighbor’s yard sign that states "Hope Isn't Cancelled". That sentiment is important for us all to hold close to our hearts right now. Though these are trying times we will get through it! Stay safe, healthy, and strong. Dr. Miller can’t wait to see all her wonderful patients again soon and hear all they have been up to!
